How did the Big Hat and Sundress Brunch start?
It started as a brunch with close friends and was hosted at a church. It begin to grow as more and more people were interested in attending.
Do you need to already have an audience to host events like this?
All you need is the believe that you can do it, and just do it.
What are the common characteristics of the attendees?
They are women, mostly between the ages of 45 and 65 and seeking community.
What are some of the marketing strategies for the Big Hat and Sundress Brunch?
Facebook and email. Email is still a very effective strategy for keeping people updated and getting them to purchase tickets to events.
What are the different revenue streams from hosting the brunch events?
Merchandise in the form of books and t-shirts.
